This morning the commemoration events of the 50. Anniversary of the beautiful cruiseliners tragic end were started with a blessing ceremony of a replica of the Christ of the Deep. This replica will be placed with in Grenada's famous Underwater Sculpture Park. A plaque commemorating the 50th anniversary was also blessed and later today placed at the Bianca C pool. Pictures will follow soon.

This week we conducted our first Scuba Yoga Workshop, our team at La Source will be offering a 3 dive program combined with the resorts comprehensive yoga classes.
we need an animal shrink who dives - a stingray at King Mitch thinks he is an Eagle Ray! Kind of splitted personality! He hangs in the current, tries to buddy with the Eagle Rays which of course completely ignore it. Poor Stingray!
Bruce is testing the surface buoy attachements for our new distinctive specialty: UW-Bycycling. well it should have been posted on April 1. ! still we want to share the fun we are having.
Chris and Jan from the UK celebrated their 100. Dives this week in Grenada. there was a cake too, but it was cut so quickly the photographer did not get a chance! Yummi.

rebreather diving on Bianca C, Shakem, Hema 1 and the favorite 3 hour dive at Grenada's Marine park, visiting the Car Pile, the wreck of the Bucaneer and forests of black corals of all color variations.
Applicants for the Post of Warden with the Grenada Marine Park are required to take a discover scuba dive. For their job they will become Scuba certified. Theory comes first. Getting to know the gear. Getting ready to get wet. Anticipation before your first breath underwater. All went well, and all liked it. The discover scuba dive was provided by Aquanauts free of charge to the applicants and conducted by instructor Paul and divemaster Larry.
Hint: at a popular dive site in Grenada. Time is up - its at the Veronica Wreck. Was it too difficult? Nobody got it right. Will make it easier next time.

Janine Davis - the founder of Diversitea - returned to Grenada this year. To commemorate Earth Day, a Project Aware Reef Conservation course was held. Besides Great Diving the group enjoyed daily Yoga classes geared to Scuba Divers, Reiki Sessions, Healthy Food, a private tour of the Grenada Chocolate factory and much more. Christmas Day we dived the Grenada Marine Park - what a treat! We are going to dive it again on New Years Day - there is still space available! Start at 10.30 a.m.!

Our first ever rebreather user course for inspiration/evolution took place last week. Claus M. from Germany got certified on basic user and decompression procedures user level. Peter and Claus had an intense week, but great dives as well. Here are some impressions from last week:

Gipsy Divers from North Carolina enjoyed one week diving with us. You guys were a really fun group to have, we enjoyed it as much as you did. Hope to see you back in grenada some time! But the best no doubt was your birthday surprise cake for Bruce!
